CCCP 1937
Michail Vodopyanov was dubbed the «all-weather pilot». Neither fog nor snow storms could frighten him, and he was still able to touch down on the smallest of landing fields. In May 1937, he was the first person to land in the North Pole area. Under his leadership a group of explorers was formed to work on the floating "North Pole" station.
The mechanical watch «1937» commemorates the predominantly ascetic way of life during these years. The new version of the watches from 1937 has a second hand, a calendar, a shockproofed movement and a water resistance of 5 atm. The symbol of flying and the characteristic triangle on the finish dial underline the association of this watch series with the aviation theme.
