On June 13th 2008, in San Diego, the much hyped nanosecond accuracy of atomic time noon, 12:00 sharp, is 52 minutes earlier than the solar high noon, the fountain head. If accuracy is in such demand, why is this never questioned? Would you rather follow a machine or the sun?
To celebrate our 10 year anniversary we present the recollection of our original watch design, the WorldWatch II. Penciled out on Lamai Beach on a warm morning in 1999, it set in motion what is here today. Our goal was to reconnect the natural cycles of the sun and the moon with the constant beat of hours, minutes and seconds, and we did. Wings have been clipped, for sure, but we're most happy to still be of service, the drawing board still humming.
The WorldWatch II "RAY" with the blue symbol bezel is using the original gold hand which crowned the first edition. The duo finish with the sky blue LCD face has been rebirthed. The classic President band has been refitted to hug the case tightly and a locking butterfly clasp makes for a smooth wear. It is still big enough to double as an anchor.
